Spelling Challenge No1
English has a simple grammar but a complex vocabulary and an almost insane spelling system which drives even native English speakers crazy. This lesson is one of a series of spelling tests challenging your ability to spell the most difficult to spell English words. Listen to me speak the word and then spell it if you can. The faster you spell each word accurately, the higher you will get on the leader board below the lesson. Opposites Challenge
In this challenge, you will be given 10 random words and will need to choose the opposites from the three possible answers given. The 35 words in the question bank are: ability, alive, amuse, awake, bottom, cheap, cold, cruel, descendant, ending, everything, exciting, finish, first, floor, friend, gentle, happy, hard, healthy, hell, horizontal, import, in, interior, laugh, occupied, refuse, remember, rich, shallow, shout, stupid, take off, and wet. Periodic Table Challenge
In this challenge, you will have to give the names of 20 elements from their symbols. There are 118 elements in the periodic table of elements, so you will have to name and identify 20 random elements each time you do the challenge.
Order of Adjectives Challenge
The order of adjectives in English is not random. There is a strict hierarchy that must be followed if your sentences are to make sense and sound correct. This challenge will give you the chance to test your knowledge of the positions of English adjectives before nouns.
