Bring and Take

Bring and Take are two verbs which cause problems for many students. I believe this is because there are so many idiomatic expressions which use bring and take. At the request of my student, Monica, I have made this English Activation Pack to settle your doubts once and for all. Work your way through the theory part and then activate your English with the Activation Quizzes. The Activation Quizzes contain many sentence transformation, or key word transformations exercises. The English Activation Pack also has embedded audio throughout to help with your pronunciation.

Inversion

Inversion is the reversal of the usual order of the words in an English sentence. The normal order of an English sentence is subject – verb – object. We use inversion for various effects. There are two types of inversion in English. Subject and verb inversion to become verb – subject. Subject and auxiliary inversion to become auxiliary – subject – verb. This English lesson will tell you all you need to know about how and when to use inversion. The pack contains a self-test excercise with over 250 questions designed to get you using inversion properly. Each time you do the self-test exercise you will be given 10 random questions. This way, you will be able to get hours of practice constructing sentences with inversion.

Do or Make

Do or Make are two verbs which cause frequent confusion for students. I have created this English Activation Pack as the ultimate resource to help you learn, practice, and remember how to use these two verbs. This was one of the very first English Activation Packs that I added to the Britlish Library and it is very long and involved. However, it will teach you all you need to know about the two verbs, do and make. If you would like to revise your knowledge of the verbs do and make, do the revision lesson you will find by searching the Britlish Library.
